Spent a Sunday in Santa Maria Maggiore with friends and we booked in this refuge in Druogno excellent experience very good food generous portions friendly staff and acceptable waiting times price a little high but worth it..... I highly recommend
Classic mountain restaurant with a menu made of typical products. Good starters. The service is a little slow to improve. All in all I recommend it.
another tasty experience at the "Focolare"!! among the first courses, the Vigezzo tagliatelle with mushrooms and the chestnut gnocchi in walnut sauce are unmissable. The polenta is then served with everything you could desire (for those who like them, the Vigezzina-style snails are a "encore"!). The desserts are also traditional: the "panelatte" cake, whose name recalls a splendid alpine lake in the Valley, is extraordinary in its simplicity!

I find this refuge the ideal solution to get away from the chaos of the city and enjoy good homemade food immersed in the tranquility of nature.
Characteristic in that it is polenta made on the fireplace, the place conveys that feeling of grandmother's house, where you are welcomed and pampered ☺️
The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful.
We ate well polenta and various meats, excellent pork with a side of potatoes, generously sliced. Only one flaw with the cut: we were asked if we wanted a side dish and we took fries thinking they were included. Price €6 for a tiny portion of chips. We paid anyway. It would be better to notify customers first or leave the side dish included in the course.
